my story

Hello there, it is so great to see you here.

I am Angie, and I am a yoga teacher and teacher trainer. I am happy to connect with you here, and to help you flow safely and sustainably.

My area of interest lies in human anatomy and biomechanics underpinning the yoga practice. I seek to ground my classes and programmes firmly in anatomical understanding, whether it is through my own further studies, or through my consultations and education with physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, and medical professionals.

I am currently teaching group classes and leading trainings at Hom Yoga Singapore. I am also teaching specialised yoga classes and doing private sessions at The Physio Circle Singapore. I believe that yoga can be a powerful and inclusive movement practice for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and long term management.

In all my classes and trainings, I strive to teach in a systematic and easily understood manner. My trainings are crafted with the intention to provide teachers and students with specialised knowledge and instill greater confidence in them to embark on teaching yoga. Through my experience in leading multiple teacher trainings over the years, I believe in the importance of providing students with ongoing support and opportunity to further their growth and understanding in yoga beyond a standard 200hr yoga teacher training curriculum. I also see the importance for students and teachers to have basic anatomical awareness underpinning the yoga practice to ensure a sustainable and injury-free practice.

my approach

My approach to the vinyasa practice and teaching has been heavily influenced by Jason Crandell, whose anatomical approach to the yoga practice deeply inspired my growth and further specialisation in the area.

I started leading yoga immersion programmes in the beginning of my teaching career, empowering hundreds of students with new found knowledge and understanding of the vinyasa practice grounded in anatomical understanding.

My classes and trainings emphasise heavily on anatomy and functional alignment, and I strongly believe that advanced yoga poses can only be safely achieved through greater mastery of the simplest of poses and the smallest of details that comes with it.
